Welcome to the Family
Remember the countdown to D-Day? You were devouring baby-care trivia
like it was the night before a final exam, while dad-to-be still
hadn't cracked a book, but was confident he could wing it when the
time came.
New dads need all the help they can get -- and a few laughs to boot.
The GoodFather: For The Baby You Can't Refuse, is a humorous,
animated CD that ushers new dads through the maze of information
about infant care. Obviously, it's a parody of The Godfather
(that's where the chuckles come in) featuring hundreds of searchable
definitions and lessons for dad without the pink and blue filler.
The content was created by experienced fathers and grandfathers,
and edited by nurse-midwives, so the information is relevant to
new dads and medically sound.
Dads
also get to download photos onto their computer to create their
very own baby cards, leaving them no excuse not to get involved
in the thank-you process. Plus, there's a list of some 15,000 names
to peruse. (We're hoping Fat Sal and Little Vin didn't make the
cut.) And it's all laced with references to one of the male population's
favorite films.
We
could all use some tips during those first few foggy weeks. Sounds
like an offer ...
