Eat Drink Man Woman

Who doesn't want to add a few new recipes to their culinary repertoire? After all, even in NYC, take-out gets old fast. The problem is time. Who's got enough of it to actually get creative in the kitchen after a long day at the office or chasing a toddler round the playground?

Enter chef Rob Endelman of Cook With Class. You select a group of friends, and he'll bring a four-course dinner party into your home. Don't worry -- he arrives with everything he needs, from the ingredients themselves to specialty knives and cookware.

Endelmen, a banker-turned-classically-trained-chef, is passionate about food. After working at Jean Georges and 'Cesca, he decided to take his obsession to the people and founded Cook with Class in 2004, where he's been teaching groups from two to ten people how to make easy, delicious meals. His mission? To empower people to cook healthily and flavorfully without hydrogenated oils, refined sugars or preservatives.

He'll consult with you, pre-party, so that together you can pick a menu that will work for you and your guests (no mean feat these days). He'll also help you settle on something you might actually want to recreate for yourself in the future, because, let's face it, while you may be craving Indian curry now, such labor-intensive dishes might not have the same appeal during those time-starved days of breast feeding. Perfectly poached Halibut steaks sounds more like the ticket. Endelman will show you how -- all in the comfortable setting of your own home.

Here's the bottom line: no shopping, a group of good friends, delicious food you'll be able to make on your own even after the party's over and no clean up.
